Dancing with the Stars pro Jenna Johnson is determined to stay creative this year, and she’s getting help from her fellow So You Think You Can Dance alums. Johnson teamed up with Hayley Erbert and Makenzie Dustman for a new routine on her Instagram account.

Jenna Johnson, Hayley Erbert Perform New Routine

Johnson, who recently placed second with JoJo Siwa on Dancing with the Stars Season 30, wrote on Instagram that her goal for 2022 is to “be my most creative self and to stop making excuses that keep me stuck in my comfort zone.”

Although Johnson is known primarily as a ballroom dancer, she shared that she’s trained in other styles of dance that she loves. So she collaborated with Erbert and Dustman on a unique routine set to Labrinth’s “I’m Tired.”

In the clip, the three dancers sit tangled up on the floor, moving in different directions and making new shapes with their bodies. Johnson said collaborating with them made her “feel like a giddy kid.”

“I can’t wait for many more human sandwiches together!” Johnson wrote to close the caption. “Love you both dearly.”

Johnson, Erbert, and Dustman Were on ‘SYTYCD’ Together

It might surprise you to learn that Johnson and Erbert (who is dating Derek Hough and was a mentor on Dancing With the Stars: Juniors) appeared on Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance together, along with Dustman. They competed in 2013.

Johnson made it to the Top 8, while Erbert made it to the Top 6. Dustman made it to the Top 10. While Johnson danced in the ballroom genre, Erbert and Dustman were both contemporary. So it makes sense that she would want to collaborate with them on such a unique routine.

Quite a few other DWTS pros also appeared on SYTYCD, including Alan Bersten, Lindsay Arnold, and Artem Chigvintsev.
